Concept
When Tiwa Savage, the Queen of Afrobeats, came to us in need of a music visualiser for her single ‘On the Low’ featuring Skepta, as well as the cover art and social content for her most vulnerable album to date, we knew we had to produce something entirely special to do it justice.
Our visual for On The Low’ plays on the themes of love, heartbreak, faith and nostalgia that are prevalent throughout her new album ‘This One Is Personal’. We focused on the artists' chemistry and the possibility of a romantic connection in a subtly nostalgic scenario. Reminiscent of 90's hip hop and R&B music videos, we shot on 16mm film to really drive home that retro style.
Results
With over 1M views on YouTube, the music visualiser was a perfect embodiment of the themes within the ‘This One is Personal’ album.
Our album cover art and concept became the pinnacle of the cinematic universe for the ‘This One is Personal’ rollout. From AI profile pictures, to installations of the mattress tower across London and New York, this image became the centre of the album’s imagery.
